Two Hawaii Police Department officers, Noah Serrao and Blaine Kenolio, were arrested on January 13, 2026, on felony charges including perjury, false swearing, and tampering with evidence related to an unlawful 2023 search of an arrestee’s belongings without a warrant.
Both officers, six-year veterans of Hilo Patrol, are accused of making false statements and altering records.
They were released on their own recognizance, reassigned from patrol, and are scheduled to appear in Hilo Circuit Court.
The case followed internal and criminal investigations, with the state attorney general’s office handling the prosecution.
