TotalEnergies has agreed to sell its 10% non-operated stake in Nigeria’s Renaissance Joint Venture to Vaaris, retaining full economic interest in three gas-producing licenses that supply half of Nigeria LNG’s gas.
The deal covers 15 oil and three gas licenses in the Niger Delta, with closing pending regulatory approval.
The Renaissance JV, operated by Renaissance Africa Energy, includes NNPC (55%), Renaissance (30%), TotalEnergies (10%), and Agip (5%).
TotalEnergies, active in Nigeria for over 60 years, produced 209,000 barrels of oil equivalent daily in 2024 and operates 540 service stations.
