Tony Stewart, a three-time NASCAR Cup Series champion, is returning to competition in 2026 for one race in the Truck Series season opener at Daytona International Speedway, his first NASCAR start since 2016 and first Truck Series race since 2005.
Driving a Ram truck for Kaulig Racing as part of the team’s Free Agent Program, Stewart will join a five-truck entry that includes full-time drivers Brenden Queen, Daniel Dye, and Justin Haley, with the fourth spot filled through a competition.
The move marks Ram’s return to NASCAR and Kaulig Racing’s expansion into a full-time two-car Cup operation.
Stewart, known for his success across multiple series, expressed excitement about the opportunity, calling it a natural fit.
