North Dakota’s governor will choose from three candidates to fill a higher education board seat vacated by Levi Bachmeier.
A nominating committee has recommended three candidates—Michelle Kommer, Stan Schauer, and Darin Scherr—for a vacancy on North Dakota’s Board of Higher Education, left by Levi Bachmeier, who resigned to become state superintendent of public instruction.
Governor Kelly Armstrong will select one finalist to serve the remainder of Bachmeier’s term, ending June 30, 2029, with Senate confirmation required.
