The Metts family and Branch Properties are redeveloping Louisville’s Mid City Mall, closed since 2024, with plans pending review.
The Metts family, owners of Louisville’s Mid City Mall, have partnered with Atlanta-based Branch Properties to redevelop the 11.5-acre site, which has been for sale since November 2024 and is valued at $11.4 million. The joint venture aims to revitalize the struggling mall, previously home to tenants like Ramen House Louisville, The Nearly New Shop, and the Back Door Bar, all of which have closed or relocated. Branch Properties, which manages 24 Publix stores nationwide, is evaluating improvements, though no final plans have been confirmed. The Highlands Commerce Guild will hear from former Metro Councilman Brandon Coan on January 28 about potential redevelopment options.
