Delhi opened 81 new free healthcare centers on Jan. 14, 2026, expanding access to primary care for residents.
On January 14, 2026, Delhi inaugurated 81 new Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, raising the total to 319, as part of the fifth phase of its healthcare expansion.
The centers provide free primary care, including consultations, medicines, diagnostics, screenings, maternal and child health services, and preventive programs like yoga and nutrition guidance.
Over 6.9 lakh health cards have been issued, with 2.7 lakh to senior citizens, and 189 hospitals are empanelled for free treatment.
The initiative aims to improve access to neighborhood healthcare across the city.
