Adani Energy Solutions Limited secured an Rs 18,000 crore HVDC project to transmit 2,500 MW of renewable energy from Gujarat’s Khavda Renewable Energy Park to Olpad, expanding its transmission network to 27,901 circuit kilometers and boosting transformation capacity to 118,175 MVA. The company’s order book reached Rs 77,787 crore. Distribution efficiency improved, with losses dropping to 4.22% year-to-date in FY26 and supply reliability at 99.998%. Mumbai’s electricity sales dipped slightly, but collection efficiency stayed strong at 101.75%. Smart meter installations rose by 18.88 lakh, bringing the total to 92.5 million, with expectations to exceed one crore by year-end. The smart meter order book is valued at Rs 29,519 crore, with a national market opportunity of 103 million units. AESL reported 16% year-on-year income growth in H1 FY26 and 6% in Q2, driven by stable operations and higher capital expenditure.
