A 15-year-old Army Cadet from Glasgow, Jordan Kerr, saved a 10-year-old boy who collapsed and stopped breathing at Drumchapel Railway Station on January 10, 2026.
While waiting for a train after cadet training, Kerr performed CPR for about 12 minutes until paramedics arrived, using skills learned through the Army Cadet Force.
The child was hospitalized but in stable condition.
Kerr’s actions drew widespread praise, including a viral thank-you post from the boy’s mother and a petition he launched calling for a defibrillator at the station, which has gathered over 600 signatures.
