LeBron James wears a 23rd-season patch on his Lakers jersey to honor his NBA record, with game-used patches sent to Topps for collectible cards.
LeBron James is wearing a commemorative patch on his Los Angeles Lakers jersey for the rest of the 2025-26 NBA season to honor his record-setting 23rd season, the most in NBA history.
The patch, featuring the number 23 and design elements representing his three teams, debuted on January 12 in Los Angeles—the city of his 2003 NBA debut.
After each game, the patch is removed, dated, and sent to Topps in Dallas for authentication and inclusion in limited-edition trading cards.
The initiative is part of James’s memorabilia deal with Fanatics, which owns Topps.
At 41, James remains the NBA’s all-time leading scorer with 42,601 points and is averaging 21.9 points, 6.9 assists, and 5.6 rebounds.
He is 30 games short of surpassing Robert Parish’s record for most career NBA appearances.
