Heffel Fine Art Auction House is selling 198 pieces of Hudson’s Bay Company ephemera and Indigenous art online through January 27, 2026, as part of efforts to help the defunct retailer repay creditors.
The auction includes historical items like canoe paddles, vintage suitcases, a Steiff teddy bear, and a Beaver pocket watch, alongside retail-era artifacts from acquired brands and works by Indigenous artists including Kenojuak Ashevak, whose 1961 print “A Vision of Animals” is estimated at up to $15,000.
Most items are priced in the hundreds or less, though final prices often exceed estimates.
This is the third auction since November, with more planned throughout the year.
