G-Unit Film & Television Louisiana has finalized a $124 million redevelopment project in Shreveport, transforming three downtown venues—including the former Stageworks and Millennium Studios—into modern entertainment facilities, including a new dome-style immersive venue.
Backed by a performance-based funding agreement with Louisiana Economic Development that includes up to $50 million, the project is projected to generate $18.8 billion in economic impact, support over 6,000 jobs statewide, and deliver $300 million in wages over 20 years.
The Shreveport Film & Entertainment Economic Development Corporation will oversee implementation, with state leaders and 50 Cent praising the initiative as a major step in expanding Louisiana’s creative economy and positioning northwest Louisiana as a national entertainment hub.
