Focus Graphite uses AI to accurately measure graphite flake size from drill cores, improving resource estimates and mine planning at its Quebec projects.

Focus Graphite has developed and validated an AI-powered, low-cost method to measure graphite flake size directly from drill core samples at its Lac Tetepisca Project in Quebec. Using AI analysis on routine assay reject images, the technology maps flake size distribution without bulk testing, improving resource valuation and mine planning. Preliminary results show lower-grade areas may contain more valuable jumbo flakes, potentially allowing a lower cut-off grade. The findings will inform a late Q1 2026 mineral resource estimate update for the Manicouagan-Ouest Graphitic Corridor. The method, validated against metallurgical and SEM tests on 300 samples, was developed by IOS Services Geoscientifiques Inc. with Quebec government support and will be applied to Focus’s Lac Knife Project.
