The Australian government has launched a $50 million Trade Diversification Network, selecting 40 industry groups—including the Australian Fashion Council, Australian Industry Group, and National Farmers' Federation—to expand exports to emerging markets like Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.
The initiative, part of the Accessing New Markets Initiative, aims to boost trade resilience amid global volatility by supporting tailored programs such as trade missions and training.
With trade accounting for 32% of Australia’s economy and one in four jobs linked to it, the government emphasizes diversification to strengthen supply chains, create jobs, and reduce reliance on key partners.
The network will leverage Austrade’s global reach and industry expertise to enhance export capabilities across sectors.
