A wrong-way truck collision with an electrical pole near 17th and Washington streets in Phoenix early Sunday morning disrupted power to the Valley Metro light rail system, causing service delays and temporary rerouting of westbound A Line trains. The incident, reported around 3 a.m., led to outages at the 24th and Washington and 12th and Washington stations. The driver fled the scene, but a passenger remained. Valley Metro crews worked to restore power, with service largely returning to normal by 11:40 a.m. Police are investigating the crash.
