With eighteen film nominations, Ryan Coogler's "Sinners," which stars Michael B. Jordan in two roles, leads the 57th NAACP Image Awards. Spike Lee's "Highest 2 Lowest" has nine. "Bel-Air" received seven nominations for television. Together with Cynthia Erivo, Doechii, Kendrick Lamar, and Teyana Taylor, who each received six nominations, Michael B. Jordan is one of five finalists for Entertainer of the Year. With six nods, Lamar took the lead in music. Two new categories were added to the awards: Outstanding Editing in a Motion Picture or Television Series and Outstanding Literary Work – Journalism. Voting is open until February 7. The ceremony will take place at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium on February 28 and be broadcast on BET.
