Singapore's court rejected a negligence claim by Fiona Lee and her husband against former Julius Baer manager Loh Kia Hui over lost profits from Lithium Americas shares.
Singapore’s High Court dismissed a negligence lawsuit by Taiwanese-born businesswoman Fiona Lee and her husband against former Julius Baer manager Loh Kia Hui.
They claimed Loh promised to monitor Lithium Americas Corp shares and alert them if prices fell below C$1, leading to a sale in 2017 that cost them potential profits after a 5:1 share consolidation.
The court found no evidence Loh promised to monitor prices or advise short-term trading, ruled the couple failed to prove reliance, and concluded no legal duty beyond their contract existed.
The judge also rejected claims of lost profits and a counterclaim for indemnity.
The ruling was issued December 22, 2025.
