Romania's trade deficit narrowed to €2.26 billion in November 2025, down from €2.85 billion the previous year, driven by a 5.3% drop in imports despite a 0.1% decline in exports. For the first eleven months of 2025, the deficit totaled €29.77 billion, a decrease from €30.1 billion in 2024. Machinery and transport equipment remained key trade components, while intra-EU trade continued to dominate.
