A confirmed measles case in a child who traveled through Maryland and Virginia has prompted health alerts for specific Amtrak and shuttle bus routes on January 7–8, 2026.
Exposure may have occurred on an Amtrak train from Philadelphia to Washington, D.C., and on BWI Airport shuttles, but not inside airport terminals.
