According to Lebanese authorities, Israeli airstrikes in southern Lebanon targeted infrastructure, including an underground weapons storage facility, and a Hezbollah fighter, killing one person in Bint Jbeil and damaging buildings in Kfar Hatta. The strikes coincide with the ongoing tensions that followed a 2024 truce that called for Hezbollah to disarm. Israel maintains its occupation of five southern areas and claims that Lebanon's disarmament efforts are inadequate. Since the ceasefire, more than 300 attacks have been carried out; Israel attributes this to Hezbollah's rearmament with Iranian assistance. Hezbollah accuses Israel of breaking the ceasefire and denies disarming.
