A former Nigerian lawmaker, Dr. Usman Bugaje, has accused the country’s political elite of stalling national progress by prioritizing zoning over governance, despite citizens fulfilling their duties through tax payments and law-abiding behavior.
Speaking at a birthday event in Abuja for former House Speaker Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, Bugaje said Nigerians have not seen tangible benefits from government and criticized political parties as dysfunctional, undermining democracy and national development.
He emphasized the lack of a unifying national vision and expressed growing public frustration with leadership failures.
