APEDA inaugurated a regional office in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, on January 12, 2026, during the 2nd India International Rice Summit, to boost the state’s agricultural exports.
The office aims to support farmers and exporters of non-basmati rice, GI-tagged varieties like Jeeraphool and Nagri Dubraj, fruits, vegetables, and minor forest produce.
It will provide export registration, certification, market intelligence, and global market linkages.
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai credited Union Minister Piyush Goyal for the initiative, calling it a step toward integrating local farmers into global markets and positioning Chhattisgarh as a leader in sustainable, high-value agri-exports.
