Her arrest followed a crackdown on rising firearm-related crimes, and authorities recovered four pistols and three magazines. She has a criminal history dating back to the early 2000s, including involvement in bank robberies after her husband’s death in 2003. Previously arrested in 2009 and held under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act until 2017, she allegedly resumed arms trafficking after release. Investigators are probing her suppliers and recipients as the case unfolds.
