Wild About Wallingford seeks £40,000 to expand green spaces, orchards, and restore Mill Brook by Feb. 28.
Wild About Wallingford, a local environmental group, is seeking £40,000 in Section 106 funding from South Oxfordshire District Council by February 28 to expand green spaces at Radnor Road.
The project follows the success of “The Taco,” a community garden built on a former phone box site, and includes plans to expand a community orchard with nut trees, map a local wildlife corridor, and partially restore the historic Mill Brook via a shallow above-ground channel.
The initiative aims to boost biodiversity, reduce carbon emissions, and strengthen community engagement.
