President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is anticipated to visit India in 2026, most likely during an Intergovernmental Commission meeting, according to Ukrainian Ambassador Oleksandr Polishchuk. The purpose of the visit is to increase cooperation in infrastructure, manufacturing, technology, and trade. Speaking at the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference in Rajkot, Polishchuk noted pre-war bilateral economic ties worth almost $4 billion and emphasized opportunities for Indian companies in Ukraine's post-war reconstruction, particularly in energy, logistics, agriculture, and IT. Citing Rwanda's 11.8% growth in 2025, its top African ranking for ease of doing business, and India's position as its second-largest investor, High Commissioner Jacqueline Mukangira praised India's expanding economic influence. Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership and India's growing status as a global investment hub were praised by foreign envoys from various countries.
