Bangladesh condemned Israel's recognition of Somaliland, calling it a violation of Somalia’s sovereignty.

Bangladesh reaffirmed its support for Somalia’s sovereignty at the OIC’s 22nd Extraordinary Session in Jeddah, condemning Israel’s recognition of the self-declared Somaliland as a violation of international law and Somalia’s territorial integrity. Foreign Affairs Adviser Md Touhid Hossain urged the OIC to reject the move, stressing the importance of multilateralism, justice, and state sovereignty. The session also reaffirmed the OIC’s solidarity with the Palestinian cause.
