Andrea Bocelli will headline the 2026 Milan Cortina Winter Olympics opening ceremony on February 6 at Milan’s San Siro stadium, performing alongside pop star Mariah Carey, the first international pop artist announced for the event.
The three-hour ceremony, produced by Marco Balich, will feature the Parade of Athletes and broadcast live from Milan, Cortina, Livigno, and Predazzo to reflect the Games’ wide geographic spread.
Bocelli, a globally renowned tenor, will perform during a break from his world tour, with U.S. concerts scheduled after the ceremony.
The event will honor late fashion designer Giorgio Armani, who designed Italy’s Olympic uniforms, and include Italian actors Sabrina Impacciatore and Matilde De Angelis.
The closing ceremony on February 22 will be led by ballet star Roberto Bolle in Verona’s Roman Arena.
The opening is expected to draw 60,000 live spectators and millions more worldwide.
