A 20-year-old Salisbury man, Ryan Moore, was sentenced to eight months in prison after pleading guilty to dangerous driving and related charges following a 47-mile high-speed police chase on December 9, 2025.
The pursuit, which spanned the A30, A303, and M3 motorways, began when officers spotted a black Mercedes A-Class on Avon Approach, suspected of involvement in a drug deal and using cloned plates.
Moore, driving without a license or insurance, reached speeds up to 120 mph, evaded capture, and eventually stopped near Fleet Services after running out of fuel.
He tested positive for cannabis, and police confirmed the vehicle had fraudulent registration.
No injuries were reported, and authorities credited the coordinated response for preventing harm.
The sentence was handed down at Salisbury Crown Court on January 9, 2026.
