An 18-year-old Dublin man faces charges for possessing a loaded Glock and cocaine, with bail set amid pending forensic results.
An 18-year-old from Ballyfermot, Dublin, appeared in court on January 9, 2026, facing charges for possessing a loaded Glock handgun described as "primed for use" and cocaine for supply.
Authorities found the weapon, wrapped in cellophane with nine rounds in the magazine, in his garden during a drugs operation, along with 71 grams of cocaine and another substance believed to be cocaine, valued at €20,000, plus cash and paraphernalia.
The defense claimed the larger substance was creatine, not cocaine, citing a prior case where the supplement was mistaken for drugs.
The defendant, a father with no serious prior record, was granted €500 bail with strict conditions, including daily sign-ins, a curfew, and a fixed residence.
Forensic tests on the drugs and firearm are pending, and no plea has been entered.
