Pakistan’s defense minister called for U.S. and Turkish abduction of Netanyahu, citing ICC warrants and labeling him a war criminal.
Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif called for the U.S. and Turkey to “kidnap” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, labeling him the “worst criminal of humanity” over Israel’s actions in Gaza.
Speaking on a televised interview, Asif cited ICC arrest warrants issued in November 2024 and urged international action, suggesting the U.S. could act as it did with Venezuela’s Nicolás Maduro.
He expressed support for Turkey potentially carrying out such a move and said Pakistanis were “praying” for it.
The interview was abruptly cut short after Asif made a veiled remark about holding supporters of Netanyahu accountable, which the anchor feared could be interpreted as referencing U.S. President Donald Trump.
The comments drew international attention and concern, highlighting Pakistan’s longstanding opposition to Israel and its alignment with Iran, while the ICC warrants remain a focal point of global legal and diplomatic debate.
