Oxbrew Taproom seeks alcohol licence for extended hours; Oxford faces ongoing road and rail disruptions.
Oxbrew Taproom Ltd has applied for a premises licence to serve alcohol at its Osney Mead location in Oxford, seeking permission to operate from 9am to midnight Sunday through Thursday and until 1am on weekends, with indoor live and recorded music allowed until midnight on weekdays and 1am on weekends.
Public comment is open until January 13.
Meanwhile, multiple road closures are in effect across Oxford and surrounding areas due to infrastructure and utility projects, including Chilswell Road (from January 16), Marlborough and Whitehouse Roads (January 5 to May 22), and Downs Road in Witney (January 12 to 20).
Additional closures include Trenchard Avenue in Milton Heights (January 5 to October 16) and Uffington (January 5 to February 20), with rail works overnight from January 3 to 26.
A long-term loading ban on Oxford High Street starts January 12 and extends to 2028, accompanied by a scaffold tunnel and modified taxi bay rules.
Temporary speed limits and diversions are also in place.
