Mayo and Limerick GAA seek planning approval for new €20M Centres of Excellence with multiple pitches and sustainable facilities.
Mayo GAA is seeking design teams with experience in at least five GAA pitch projects to create a state-of-the-art Centre of Excellence in Bohola, featuring multiple pitches, a clubhouse, and sustainable infrastructure.
The goal is to submit a planning application by Q3 2026, with expressions of interest due by January 23, 2026.
Meanwhile, Limerick GAA is pursuing planning approval for a €20 million Centre of Excellence at Jockeyhall, featuring six natural grass pitches, two synthetic surfaces, an indoor facility, and a historic house integrated into a new pavilion.
The project, designed by Healy Partners, aims to support Gaelic games for all ages and genders, with a decision expected soon.
