IAEA seeks 10km ceasefire near Zaporizhzhia plant for power line repairs amid ongoing attacks.
The IAEA is negotiating a limited ceasefire near Ukraine’s Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant to repair a damaged 330-kilovolt emergency power line, leaving the facility reliant on a single main line.
IAEA chief Rafael Grossi said a temporary halt to fighting within a 10km radius is needed for Ukrainian technicians to work safely, marking the fourth such agreement in recent months.
The plant’s reactors are offline but require continuous cooling.
