Delhi expands Narela Education City with new funding and land transfers to boost education and jobs.

The Delhi government has boosted funding for Narela Education City to Rs 1,300 crore and transferred 12.69 acres to Delhi Teachers’ University and 22.43 acres to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, accelerating development of a major education hub. The land handover, led by Lt. Governor VK Saxena and Education Minister Ashish Sood, resolves prior payment disputes and supports construction of shared facilities, faculty housing, and improved metro connectivity. The project, now spanning nearly 160 acres, aims to boost education access, generate jobs, and advance Delhi’s education reforms.
