In March 2026, Christie’s will auction over 400 pieces of iconic music memorabilia from The Beatles, David Gilmour, Kurt Cobain, Eric Clapton, and Bob Dylan, drawn from the collection of late Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay. Highlights include Paul McCartney’s “Hey Jude” lyrics, Ringo Starr’s Ed Sullivan Show drumhead, John Lennon’s 1963 Gretsch guitar, George Harrison’s Gibson SG, Cobain’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit” Fender Mustang, Gilmour’s Black Strat, Clapton’s MTV Unplugged Martin, and Dylan’s “The Times They Are A-Changin’” lyrics. Items will be on display in New York from March 6 to 12, with select pieces touring to London, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas. The auction will be held live and online, with proceeds supporting charities Irsay championed.
