Police responded on January 5, 2026, to a report of suspicious activity at a Victoria Street business, leading to his arrest. Authorities confirmed the saddles matched the stolen items. A search of his vehicle revealed a crowbar, ammunition, and a hunting knife, and the vehicle was found to have been stolen from Yass on December 24, 2025. The man was denied bail and is set to appear at Taree Local Court on February 9.
