Yami Gautam will star in Nayi Naveli, a horror-comedy film directed by Tamil filmmaker Balaji Mohan in his Hindi debut, produced by Aanand L Rai under Colour Yellow. The film, inspired by Indian folklore, is written by Divy Nidhi Sharma and in pre-production with filming set to begin in February 2026. It marks Gautam’s first collaboration with L Rai and a shift from her recent serious roles, including the OTT film Haq. The project aims to blend humor, emotional depth, and scale, with casting for supporting roles still underway.
