Vodafone Idea is set to repay its adjusted gross revenue (AGR) dues over 15 years, starting in 2026, after the Indian government froze liabilities at ₹87,695 crore as of December 2025.
Annual payments will begin at ₹124 crore for six years, drop to ₹100 crore for four years, then be settled in equal installments by 2041.
A government-appointed committee will reassess the total dues, with the final amount payable over six years starting in 2036.
The company also secured a ₹5,836 crore settlement from Vodafone Group to resolve merger-related liabilities.
These measures, along with plans to explore debt financing, aim to ease financial strain and support network upgrades amid intense competition.
Vodafone Idea’s shares rose over 8% on the news.
