Vegas goalie Carter Hart left game with leg injury, replaced by Schmid; Adin Hill still out.
Vegas Golden Knights goaltender Carter Hart left Thursday’s game against the Columbus Blue Jackets in the first period with a left leg injury, appearing to twist his leg during a scramble.
The game continued under NHL rules, allowing Columbus to score on a turnover, with Boone Jenner netting the opening goal.
Hart, who had a 5-3-3 record and .874 save percentage, was replaced by Akira Schmid.
The injury adds to the team’s goaltending woes, as starter Adin Hill has been out since October 20 with a similar injury and recently practiced, possibly nearing a return.
