Skye Newman, a 22-year-old singer from south London, has been named BBC Radio 1’s Sound of 2026, a top honor for emerging music talent.
The award, selected by a panel including Dua Lipa and Elton John, recognizes artists expected to break through in 2026.
Newman, whose single “Family Matters” reached number five on the UK charts, beat out contenders like Jim Legxacy and Geese.
