On January 8, 2025, Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir met with Bangladesh’s Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan in Rawalpindi to discuss regional security and strengthen defence ties. The leaders agreed to boost military cooperation through training exchanges, joint exercises, and professional collaboration, with both sides praising each other’s armed forces and emphasizing long-standing bilateral relations. The Bangladeshi air chief also met with Pakistan’s Naval Chief Admiral Naveed Ashraf in Islamabad to discuss maritime security and cooperation.
