Neratovice, Czechia, may build the world’s largest 3D-printed church, shaped like Noah’s Ark, by 2026.
The Czech town of Neratovice, once planned as church-free under communism, may build the world’s largest 3D-printed church, the Church of the Holy Trinity, shaped like Noah’s Ark and designed with sustainable, generatively crafted blocks.
Construction began in 2024 with a blessed foundation stone, and the town is expected to decide by early 2026 whether the entire above-ground structure will be 3D-printed.
The project, estimated at 204 million CZK ($8 million), includes a community center honoring anti-communist Cardinal Josef Beran and a green roof with energy-efficient systems.
Funded by donations, including from MEP Tomáš Zdechovský, the church symbolizes a cultural and religious reversal in a nation with deep ties to traditional architecture.
A nearby park with a pond and playground is also planned.
