Speakeasy Dispensary in Lexington, Kentucky, is set to open on January 15, 2026, as the state’s second medical cannabis location, housed in a former Frisch’s restaurant. It will initially offer four cannabis flower strains from Richmond’s Dark Horse, with edibles and other products expected soon. Patients will access products through a hidden entrance, with no sampling allowed. The dispensary, featuring a horse-themed design, will begin with 25 staff and accept cash and debit only. Governor Andy Beshear welcomed the progress, noting legal hurdles delayed rollout. Meanwhile, Bison Infused in Dayton was approved as Kentucky’s first licensed processor, enabling broader product availability.
