Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh, India’s Air Force Chief, praised NCC cadets ahead of the 2026 Republic Day Parade, highlighting their role in civil defense during Operation Sindoor and national initiatives like 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam' and 'Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat'.
Speaking in New Delhi, he commended the NCC as the world’s largest uniformed youth group with over 20 lakh members, emphasizing values like discipline, duty, and perseverance.
He urged cadets to focus on self-improvement, shared his own career setbacks, and stressed that national service and integrity matter more than personal success.
The event, attended by 2,406 cadets including 898 girls, was inaugurated by Vice President CP Radhakrishnan.
