A Hamilton home owned by bridal makeup artist Monika Rejnowicz has been used as a filming location for key scenes in Crave’s popular gay hockey drama “Heated Rivalry,” which debuted in November 2024 and became the network’s most-watched original series.
The show, set in Montreal, filmed for five days in June at Rejnowicz’s home, which features a famous orange sectional couch and wraparound staircase.
Her family was fairly compensated and temporarily housed during filming.
The series, which uses CGI to depict a Montreal skyline, has drawn fans to the location, especially the bedroom and the Muskoka Lakes cottage seen in the finale.
Rejnowicz has received numerous inquiries about tours and rentals but hasn’t decided whether to open her home.
She expressed interest in hosting the show again for a potential second season.
