Mason Crozier, 25, of Manchester, was sentenced to three years and four months in prison for fraudulently obtaining seven vehicles worth £107,585 by impersonating a police officer.
Between May and August 2025, he deceived sellers across Cheshire, Leicestershire, Lancashire, and Derbyshire by using fake warrant cards, fabricated bank transfer notifications, and staged videos of police pursuits.
He arranged test drives, claimed payments were pending, and left with the cars.
Identified through CCTV, prior convictions, and fake documents found at his home, Crozier pleaded guilty to seven counts of fraud by false representation, seven counts of impersonating a police officer, and one count of possessing tools for fraud.
Authorities said he exploited public trust repeatedly.
