Victor Rivas, 51, of South Boston, was arrested and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious injury after a fatal stabbing in a Cambridge apartment on January 7, 2026.
The incident occurred around 7:52 p.m. on Norfolk Street during a fight between Rivas and a man he knew.
The victim suffered life-threatening stab wounds, was rushed to a hospital, and later died.
Both men were injured during the altercation.
Rivas was taken into custody nearby and is being held without bail.
He is scheduled to appear in Cambridge District Court for arraignment on Friday.
