NHS group opposes 265-home military project in Carterton, demanding £240K for healthcare strain.
An NHS integrated care board has objected to plans for 265 military homes in Carterton, Oxfordshire, demanding developer Taylor Wimpey pay £240,140 toward primary healthcare to offset expected strain on GP services from an estimated 636 new residents.
The project, on former RAF Brize Norton land, includes a new signalised crossing, improved access, and a community green space.
The Environment Agency has set approval conditions, and while no public objections or support have been recorded, the application remains under review by West Oxfordshire District Council.
Site clearance began January 5.
