Jonty Bravery, already serving life for pushing a boy from a balcony, got 16 weeks for attacking nurses at Broadmoor in 2024.
Jonty Bravery, 24, already serving a life sentence with a 15-year minimum for pushing a six-year-old boy from a London balcony in 2019, has been sentenced to 16 weeks in prison for assaulting two nurses at Broadmoor psychiatric hospital in September 2024. The attacks occurred when staff tried to stop him from climbing a ledge to jump, resulting in injuries to both nurses. Body-worn video, witness testimony, and medical evidence led to a conviction in his absence. The judge emphasized the danger to staff and stated it is unlikely Bravery will be deemed safe for release after his minimum term unless significant changes occur. This sentence runs concurrently with his life sentence. He previously served 14 weeks in 2020 for similar staff assaults at the same facility.
