Jamaica's exams adjusted post-Hurricane Melissa: modified formats, extended deadlines, and late registration offered.
The Caribbean Examinations Council has activated disaster recovery measures for Jamaican students impacted by Hurricane Melissa, allowing affected schools to use modified exam formats, extend SBA deadlines to June 15, 2026, and offer late registration and refunds.
Students in hardest-hit areas may take only Paper One or submit alternative assessments, with adjustments including reduced science lab requirements.
The concession applies only to Jamaica and is supported by $100 million in road funding and free learning materials.
Exam results will be issued in August 2026, with potential emergency exams in November 2026.
