India’s Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar met with ambassadors from Norway and Germany on January 7, 2026, to discuss electoral cooperation, technology in voting, and sustainable democratic practices ahead of India’s chairmanship of International IDEA’s Council of Member States.
